NEWS: Police Return Vybz Kartel Benz And Other Assets

Embattled dancehall star Vybz Kartel is breathing a sigh of relief after Jamaican law enforcement returned his prized S-Class Mercedes Benz and other assets confiscated last year from the entertainer.

Late last year several of the deejays assets were seized by cops after they deejay was slapped with two murder charges.

According to sources inside the police force, items including properties, vehicles and computers were handed over to Kartel’s family late last month.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, was arrested in late September of last year on a ganja rap. The “Cake Soap” deejay was taken to several properties believed to be belonging to him where cops conducted an extensive operation, seizing several items including laptop computers.

Days later he was charged with murder, conspiracy to murder and illegal possession of a firearm. Vybz Kartel has been behind bars since then awaiting trial for the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton and Clive “Lizard” Williams.

Detectives say they have video evidence linking the deejay to the murders.
