NEW MUSIC: @KendrickLamar Set To Premiere Dr. Dre Featured & Produced Single Next Week

West Coast MC Kendrick Lamar is stepping it up a notch. After recently signing with Aftermath Records, the label’s CEO not only produced but will be featured on the newcomer’s next single. No title as of yet, but word is it’s set to premiere next week on L.A.’s popular station, Power 106. Kendrick is also said to be a surprise guest of Dre’s at Coachella this year, where the pair will perform the single live! Stay tuned to IFWT for the track, soon to come!

NEWS: DR. DRE TO PRODUCE NEW HORROR MOVIE

Looks like Dre is trading in music for the bright lights of Hollywood for a bit. The doc is switching gears from producing music to producing an upcoming horror flick,Thaw. We’re never getting Detox. LOL. Details on the movie below.

(HHDX) – Dr. Dre has been tapped to produce the upcoming horror-thriller Thaw, set to be written by Vik Weet for Crucial Films.

According to Variety, Dre is producing with Crucial partner Daniel Schnider, who came up with the idea for the flick. The movie focuses on “an ancient evil that emerges from the rapidly melting ice in the Yukon.”

Dre is no stranger to Hollywood. The super producer/rapper launched Crucial Films in 2007 with a first-look deal with New Line. This marks the first release under the partnership.
