Rob Kardashian Detained By Police After Joke Gone Wrong

 

Rob Kardashian was briefly detained by Miami cops Sunday night when he chased after a paparazzo trying to get a photo.

TMZ reports Rob was enjoying the Miami nightlife with friends when he saw a photographer taking pictures of him from across the street. The site says Rob “thought it would be funny” to run towards the photographer, but the man became frightened and ran away.

The youngest Kardashian chased the man into a local business and tried to talk to the photog, but local cops intervened, cuffed him and put him in the back of a police cruiser.

After explaining that the incident was a complete misunderstanding, Rob was released.

We're told cops interviewed both Rob and the photog -- even putting Rob in the back of a police car. But after Rob explained to them it was all a misunderstanding, he was released.

A co-founder for Invisible Children was detained in Pacific Beach on Thursday for being drunk in public and masturbating, according to the San Diego Police Department. Jason Russell, 33, was allegedly found masturbating in public, vandalizing cars and possibly under the influence of something, according to the SDPD. He was detained at the intersection of Ingraham Street and Riviera Road.

 An SDPD spokesperson said the man detained was acting very strange, some may say bizarre. "Due to the nature of the detention, he was not arrested," Lt. Andra Brown said. "During the evaluation we learned we probably needed to take him to a medical facility because of statements he was saying." Police said they received several calls Thursday at 11:30 a.m. of a man in various stages of undress, running through traffic and screaming.

 Police described Russell as "in his underwear." He allegedly took off his underwear at one point, but it was back on by the time officers arrived, said police. Several people attempted to calm him down and when officers arrived police said he was cooperative. "He was no problem for the police department however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him," said an SDPD spokesperson. "We determined that medical treatment was a better course of action than arrest."

 Russell was taken to a medical center after the incident. Police could not determine that he formed a criminal intent. There are no criminal charges pending because it looks like this is more of a medical situation, said an SDPD spokesperson. Invisible Children's CEO Ben Keesey released a statement after 1:40 p.m. on Friday saying: “Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better.

The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday. Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.” Russell is one of the the founders responsible for the "Kony 2012" video that recently went viral. He is described on the organization's website as a co-founder and "our grand storyteller and dreamer."

Russell is also described as a Christian and father to two children who wants to have nine more children with his wife he calls his "best friend for over 23 years." The video "Kony 2012" calls for the capture of the Ugandan LRA leader whose fighting tactic involves kidnapping and torturing the country's innocent children. Russell spoke with NBCSanDiego explaining how the movement was exploding at the organization's headquarters in San Diego. "There are hundreds and thousands of propaganda - posters, stickers, buttons, t-shirts, that we are putting in boxes and are shipping all over the world," Russell said in a March 8 interview.

 At the Invisible Children headquarters in San Diego, volunteers and employees have been told not to comment. Workers removed a "Kony 2012" sign in the lobby and a security guard is at the entrance of the check-in area.

BUSTED: Police Finally Track Down Inside Source That Leaked That Infamous Rihanna Photo

Last month marked three years since the infamous incident between Chris Brown and Rihanna the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards in L.A. The pair have sincemade up, but that didn’t stop the police from their own internal investigation of exactly how the top secret Rihanna photo got out to the press. It was obviously an inside job, and they’ve finally tracked it down to two women. Find out the details below.

(GG) – According to the Smoking Gun, the officers, Rebecca Reyes, 39, and Blanca Lopez, have each been on paid administrative leave for more than 30 months and the former roommates could face termination as a result of the Internal Affairs Group (IAG) probe, which has included the search of the pair’s respective residences.

Officer Cleon Joseph, an LAPD spokesman, refused to answer a series of written questions about the department’s investigation of the leak of the Rihanna photo, terming the probe a “confidential matter.”

The IAG investigation began soon after the web site TMZ published the Rihanna photo on February 19, 2009, less than two weeks after she was assaulted by singer Chris Brown while traveling in his rented Lamborghini.

The shocking photo showed the singer, now 24, with welts, bruises, and scratches suffered during the harrowing attack, which was detailed in a court affidavit sworn by an LAPD detective.

Police reports show that Reyes, assigned to the LAPD’s Wilshire Division, was part of the initial detail working the assault case.

At one point, she was included in the team dispatched to arrest Brown at L.A.’s London Hotel. Lopez, a rookie cop assigned to the Hollenbeck Division, had no role in the investigation of the assault by Brown.

IAG investigators have determined that the photo published by TMZ was one of dozens taken by an LAPD officer who responded to the Hancock Park neighborhood where a local resident heard Rihanna’s cries for help and called 911.

The TMZ image, however, was only a cropped portion of one of the police evidence photos. The original LAPD image shows Rihanna’s shoulders and most of her chest. Rihanna was photographed on the street, near Brown’s Lamborghini, which he abandoned after the attack.

The photos of Rihanna were only accessible by a small number of LAPD cops, which is why many are pointing the finger at Hollenbeck Division officers, like Reyes, who were involved in the investigation of the assault.

VIDEO: JIM JONES ARRESTED BY POLICE AT CASINO

Jim Jones was involved in a CRAZY brawl last night in Connecticut which resulted in him getting arrested, but not before it took five cops and a little bit of mace to subdue him ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ has obtained insane video of the fight going down inside the casino after a party hosted by Diddy at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

Our sources say a guy, who seemed intoxicated, came up to Jones and started talking smack to him, which Jones tried to ignore.

According to our sources, the guy then hit Jones in the face and Jones fought back in self defense. Then the guy's friends jumped in ... then Jim's people jumped in ... andIT WAS ON!!!

We're told Jones had no idea who the guy was or what triggered his beef with Jones.

Sources close to Jones say he was arrested and it took the aforementioned cops and mace to bring him in. We're told he has since bonded out and is headed back home soon.

Jones had no comment. The hotel had no comment as well, and referred us to the Connecticut State Police. No word back from them so far.
