NEWS: Popcaan " Only Man She Want" Hit Billboard Chart
Break through artiste Popcaan is well on his way to become the biggest dancehall star of 2012.
The Portmore Empire deejay’s smash hit single “Only Man She Want” is storming up the Billboard R&B/HipHop chart. The single debut on the chart at number 89 this week, and is expected to climb higher with the boast in popularity.
Weighing in on the achievement, Popcaan told the Star that he is very grateful.
“Entering the Billboard charts is a good achievement and also can help keep international focus on dancehall music. We are happy for this and grateful to all the fans and the industry people working to make it possible. We will keep making songs and work to build on all our success. Big up and respect to dancehall fans worldwide.”
The song’s producer, Elvis Redwood and Johnny Wonder of Hapilos Entertainment, said Vybz Kartel was a main force behind the creation of the single.
“Is a good feeling, as it was brought about by a combination of efforts from Vybz Kartel, Popcaan, So Unique Records and Hapilos Entertainment. I met Vybz Kartel, we had a long conversation and him seh mi a good producer and him ago give me the break,” Redwood said.
“We’re proud of the song. It was a lot of hard work and it was a long time coming. Hot 97 took it up and pushed it and from there it started spreading to other stations like Power 105, said Johnny Wonder.

NEWS: CONFIRMED: Chris Brown WILL Appear On Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake Remix”!
Wow! I don’t know how to feel about this. Well I take that back…I know how *I* feel about it…I don’t know how the WORLD is going to feel about it. Miss Info has confirmed from rock-solid sources that the remix is going down! Breezy has recorded both a rap verse and a singing verse for the song, and there will be a video as well. I’m going out on a limb and assuming it will drop on Monday, Rihanna’s 24th birthday. Speaking of which…CB’s attendance at her pre-bday bash earlier this week has also been confirmed. In my personal opinion, I think they’re both amazing artists and personal life aside, great music is great music. Only THOSE TWO know what happened that fateful night 3 years ago, so if THEY can forgive each other and put it in the past to get money together…then who are we to judge? Again, personal opinion! I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!
