NEWS: Rihanna SINGS Adele's Praises, Takes A Break From Music & Says "Single Life Is Overrated"

Battleship star Rihanna (shown above on the movie's Italian promo) recently sat down with London's "The Jonathan Ross Show" where she sang the praises of Adele and admitted that she thinks "the single life is orrated." Get the deets inside.....

It seems as though Rihanna is ready to move on to a new relationship (and a new career focus) as she was recently quoted talking about how much she hates being single.

On her taped "Jonathan Ross Show" appearance in the UK this week (airing tomorrow), she said,

"Single life is so overrated. It sucks. I have such incredible experiences in my life. You don't want to live your life and then meet someone. You want to share your life with someone. That's what I'm missing right now."

So what type of man is she into? She said she wants someone who is "...cool, fun, funny."

And Rihanna also stanned for Adele (don't we all?) during the interview.  She said,

"I saw her at the Grammys and I love her.  I'm a big fan. … Her last album, 21, spoke to me so much. It was so personal to her, but I feel like everyone in the world identified with it, to the point that I had to stop listening because it was depressing me so much. If you identify with it, sometimes you don't want to hear about it."

But while she is searching for love, Rih will give music a break focus on her acting and other projects, saying:

'I just want to pick films that are wise for me and roles that I can pull off, nothing that is too big for me."  She added, 'I love doing movies now. It's something I want to do more of."

Rih just flew back to L.A. from London last night.

NEWS: RIHANNA TALKS ABOUT BATTLESHIP

Earlier this week, Rihanna talked to the press about Battleship, her first acting role, in London. She plays Petty Officer Raikes — a weapons specialist who gets a thrill from firing heavy artillery. And the singer admitted she enjoyed working with guns almost as much as her character. Rihanna said:

“The one on the boat was so powerful, on the ribs, every time, ugh, I remember. I would come back to the set with black gunpowder everywhere — it was crazy. But it was so much fun. I loved it, every moment. I loved feeling it in my chest.”

Rihanna has history with the military. She joined the army cadets as a youngster in Barbados — and not because of the boys.

“I just wanted to join an organisation. I didn’t want to be at school for school work, that was boring. Everything else was kind of not my thing, so I joined the cadets. They had weapons. I wasn’t into boys then.”

Rihanna has worn some pretty uncomfortable outfits on stage during her career, so her Navy clobber in the movie provided some light relief.

“I thoroughly enjoyed it. I really did. It felt good to not have to think about what to wear. Every day was the exact same thing. It was really comfortable.”

But Rihanna’s appearance in the sci-fi movie — which is out on April 11 in the UK and also stars Liam Neeson — has not been without its drawbacks.  Since making the film, Rihanna doesn’t feel quite as confident that aliens don’t exist.

“Now I don’t know what to believe, but I’m not worried about it, you know? People are so concerned with the unknown, it’s hilarious. I mean, whatever is to be will be. And what can we do if they do exist and they do decide to invade earth? We will just know when we get to it.”

The Bajan star insists she will never give up pop to concentrate on becoming an actress full-time because music still “makes the world go round”. But she hasn’t ruled out starring in a comedy film in the future.

“I want to do comedy, maybe a romantic comedy. I want to try being more vulnerable, but I want to try different things. I don’t want to stick to one type of role.”

NEWS: CONFIRMED: Chris Brown WILL Appear On Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake Remix”!

Wow! I don’t know how to feel about this. Well I take that back…I know how *I* feel about it…I don’t know how the WORLD is going to feel about it. Miss Info has confirmed from rock-solid sources that the remix is going down! Breezy has recorded both a rap verse and a singing verse for the song, and there will be a video as well. I’m going out on a limb and assuming it will drop on Monday, Rihanna’s 24th birthday. Speaking of which…CB’s attendance at her pre-bday bash earlier this week has also been confirmed. In my personal opinion, I think they’re both amazing artists and personal life aside, great music is great music. Only THOSE TWO know what happened that fateful night 3 years ago, so if THEY can forgive each other and put it in the past to get money together…then who are we to judge? Again, personal opinion! After the Grammys, Rihanna performed at the Three Six Zero & Roc Nation Benefit at House of Blues Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.

Rihanna went over to the Greystone Manor Club for the Grey Goose, Grand Tactics & JL Nights Presents The Take Care Grammy Party Hosted By Drake.  And her brother Rorrey rolled with her.

Gabrielle Union and Savannah Brinson tweeted a few pics of themselves getting down at the party. 

Matt Barnes was there with Gloria Govan.  Holding hand and all.  So much for that breakup.  She said they've been "dating again" but clearly things have escalated.
